A 9kg washer does not make every programme a 9kg load
The WGA244U0AU manual lists different load limits for Cottons, Easy Care and Delicates. Compare the programme you actually intend to use.

Choose a programme before interpreting capacity
A 9 kg headline is not permission to put 9 kg into every programme. Bosch's WGA244U0AU manual gives a concrete example: Cottons has a 9.0 kg maximum in the standard setting, Easy Care lists 4.0 kg and Delicates/Silk lists 2.0 kg. Those figures answer different operating questions within one machine. Use the row for the intended fabrics and programme rather than carrying the largest number across the entire selector. The illustrated LG washer is a different appliance and does not authenticate these Bosch limits.

Read the option footnote as part of the limit
The Cottons row also contains a second number, 5.0 kg, with a footnote tying it to SpeedPerfect. Selecting that additional setting therefore changes the documented load allowance from the ordinary 9.0 kg figure. It is easy to notice a faster option while missing the accompanying limitation. Record the programme and selected options together before deciding whether the washer suits a recurring load. Do not describe the maximum rating as usable fast-cycle capacity when the manual explicitly gives a smaller figure.
Compare your recurring loads with the right row
Imagine a household routinely preparing a 5 kg load intended for Easy Care. The documented 4 kg limit would not accommodate that whole hypothetical load on that programme, even though 5 kg is below the machine's headline maximum. That comparison does not tell the household to choose Cottons instead: fabric care and programme suitability still matter. It identifies a mismatch to resolve through appropriate smaller loads or a different suitable appliance choice, with the relevant care instructions preserved.
Drum appearance is not a kilogram measurement
The close-up photograph shows a Bosch Maxx drum, not the WGA244U0AU drum. It makes the mechanical shape visible but cannot determine the safe load for another model. A large-looking opening or a deep-looking drum is not a substitute for the programme table. Avoid estimating rated kilograms from a photograph or converting the visual amount of laundry directly into a capacity claim. The documented limits and applicable instructions provide the operating reference; this guide does not perform a load or cleaning test.

Loading arrangement is another separate choice
The top-loading photograph shows a Swedish Bosch Classixx machine with a different access arrangement. It helps distinguish access from capacity: reaching through the top and opening a front door are different practical experiences, but neither establishes the permitted mass for a programme. When comparing appliances in person, consider your access needs separately from the maximum-load table. Do not transfer a top loader's instructions to a front loader or assume that machines from the same manufacturer share programme limits.

Save the exact manual with the shortlist
The source used here is manual 9001716520_B, pages 27 and 28, for WGA244U0AU. Bosch's Australian product page marks this model no longer available, so it is a documentation example rather than a current-stock recommendation. For any actual purchase, obtain the manual applicable to the supplied model and version. Compare your important programmes and options first, then evaluate the headline capacity. Keep an unresolved programme limit visible until the manufacturer can confirm it; do not fill the gap with another machine's largest number.
