Compare a dryer's stated capacity with the intended programme
The WQG24200AU manual lists 9kg for Cottons, 3.5kg for Easy Care and 3kg for Mixed. Programme choice changes the useful capacity question.
Updated:

The largest capacity is not the whole programme table
Bosch's WQG24200AU manual lists a 9 kg maximum for Cottons, 3.5 kg for Easy Care and 3 kg for Mixed. Those different limits belong to the same dryer. A household mainly drying fabrics suited to the smaller-capacity programme should not treat the 9 kg headline as its answer. Start with the intended fabric and applicable programme, then read that row's maximum. The real Indesit selector photograph illustrates the idea of programme choice but is not a picture of this Bosch model.

Test the intended load against its own limit
Consider a fictional 4 kg load intended for Easy Care. It is below the appliance's largest listed maximum but 0.5 kg above the documented Easy Care limit. The relevant comparison is therefore 4 kg against 3.5 kg, not 4 kg against 9 kg. This is a simple way to uncover a mismatch before buying. It does not advise switching the load to Cottons merely to use the larger allowance; fabric suitability and care instructions remain part of selecting the programme.
Do not equate a basket with a rated mass
A basket's apparent fullness depends on the items and their condition. The open GE dryer photograph shows an accessible drum, but it cannot establish the load mass or programme limit for the Bosch example. A photograph of towels piled beside an appliance is similarly not a capacity test. Use the measurement conventions and instructions applicable to the actual model instead of translating visual volume into kilograms. Space & Cycle has not weighed a load or verified drying performance for these machines.
Read options and programme notes with the number
A maximum-load entry is part of a larger operating instruction. Check the relevant row, its fabric description and any attached notes before concluding that an item belongs in that programme. The current manual also differentiates automatic and timed programmes; the existence of a timed option is not permission to disregard load or fabric restrictions. If a bulky item has separate care requirements, resolve those requirements first. Do not assume that fitting through the door proves the appliance can dry it appropriately.

A washer and dryer need independent capacity checks
The real Maytag pair shows why two appliances can look like one coordinated system. Their shared appearance does not prove that every full wash load can transfer to every drying programme. Compare the actual washing programme limit with the actual drying programme limit and keep the measurement basis clear. Also treat physical stacking compatibility as a separate manufacturer-instruction question. This photograph is neither a specification for the Bosch model nor an endorsement of copying the arrangement shown.

Build the shortlist around the restrictive use case
If Easy Care or Mixed is central to your routine, place that programme's capacity beside the headline maximum in the shortlist. A candidate with an impressive largest number may still be inconvenient for the loads you most often need to dry. Save the exact manual identifier, 9001644176_C in this example, and confirm that the supplied appliance uses the same applicable instructions. The goal is a programme-and-load match supported by documentation, not a capacity ranking based only on the biggest number printed on a sales card.
